“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” TRAILER

Channel Icon

Above you may or may not see the new trailer for Indiana Jones. It has already had over one million views on Youtube. The area above and below the main viewing area is a black void.

The point I wish to make today is – how many views would it receive if it were created in various forms of different languages? Anyone who has been aware of our recent experiments in (IVS) – internal visual surrounds, would realize the potential of adding descriptive scrollers to the video, in German – French – Spanish – whatever!

Internal visual surround, began as a desire to create something different than boring black squares that encase each video that is uploaded to every hosting site. It probably would have remained a simple new concept to spice up the visuals, but for living in a multicultural area of Greece (Crete). Greek people cannot watch an English made movie unless they can have Greek subtitles – even though they may be able to speak English. The same applies to our German and French friends etc’.

The movie producers and record labels spend millions on promoting their material – yet they send out their promos in only one or two language versions – Hello – can you hear me – WHY?

We recently uploaded four versions of the new Incredible Hulk 2 movie trailer. They were not publicized, exept for one blog about them.

Add Video to QuickList

El increíble Hulk 2 Versión en español. Myvzine

The Spanish version received twice the views of the English version, and we were not even sure if we had the translation correct. Remember the old saying – THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER!

simply Red – looking for Gingers.

Hold up folks – this is a serious blog for a very dear friend. Anyone out there can help her find her lost brothers and sisters? My mate Mills is a mad ginger but very sensitive about life and in particular her father has just had a heart transplant and confessed to her that it is not eleven children that he has sired – it is SEVENTEEN.

The children that she does know of – all have ginger hair – she has met five of them. The ones he has spoken about were twin boys – in Somerset….He never met them, then he made another lady pregnant with another set of twin boys – one died. On his first marriage, he had a baby girl called Angie, to his wife (Marie), he also made her sister pregnant – both at the same time. He did a runner on both of them and moved to Somerset and had to leave there because he was spreading his seed again.

After another couple of babies – somewhere in the UK – he moved to Nuneaton (Warwickshire) In total we think he has had six wives and numerous one night stands, resulting in more babies. What our Mills (Hayley Stella Brown) (Ginger), is desperate to find her brothers and sisters – what we are curious about is are they all ginger? and what on earth were all these women thinking about – sleeping with a Ginger.

Apparently his pitch was – that he bought a load of cheap silver rings and told the ladies that each ring was from his late grandmother – they fell for it every time.

Seriously now – stop laughing, I told you this is important! Please – if anyone knows of any Gingers aged between 30 – 45 ish, who have never met their father and are curious as – to the randy 57 year old gits whereabouts, please contact us.

50cent got it all wrong?

Sorry folks we are a bit hungover today, after Saturday night celebrations over the publication of our new site – www.myvzine.com – wow whata plug!

Anyway, when all the revelry died down, the inevitable conversation in the smoke filled bar, turned to music. One of our guys remarked about the lip syncing contest being held by 50cent, accessible through our freeweb site.

Now as we all love 50cent – he is legend in the rap world – but either he, or his promoters, have lost sight of the real meaning to lip syncing. All entries so far have been by stupid people (miming) to his songs – not lip syncing.

Hey 50cent – we think you are great but we spit in your eye with the video above. It was made a while back, before IVS was ever thought of, as part of the Definitive video jockeys guide. Forget about the fireworks intro and the guy talking at the end. It is a lesson in real lip syncing – how to time words in music to moving cartoon characters. This cool video features one of the greatest rap stars – Fort Minor.

In keeping with our promise to spread the word in all languages (Gert Sodin), we shall repeat this blog in German, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese and Greek. We do hope the interpretation from Google is correct.

The Incredible Hulk2-multilingual (IVS) – English version.

The above video is an experimental demo of ‘internal visual surround’.

In the realization that web 2.0 is a multi national concern, we believe that future videos should be understood by all the people from every corner of the world. Major movie trailers – released in streaming video should have story lines available for each and every language that can possibly be produced, so that the people may understand the plot.

The same applies to artist songs, where the lyrics may be viewed alongside or above the main video, so that other people in other languages may follow the song.

Producers, label owners and marketers, just might realize the importance of IVS and multilingual presentation one day. If we at Myvzine publications can plant the seed of realization, then we shall be proud.

The Incredible Hulk2 has been chosen for the first experiment and shall be reproduced also in German, French, Spanish, Russian and Italian to begin with. If anyone can help us with other languages and the software to produce multilingual news tickers or scrollers – particularly in Asian or Greek alphabets, please contact us.

This post shall be posted in all the prior languages mentioned.

Web 2.0 = Virtual real estate?

slum1.jpg

If we can simply imagine that the internet is a virtual world, and websites are transportable buildings which can be wheeled into any street within the the largest city ever built.   Your home would most likely be  nestling on the outskirts, amongst rolling hills and lakes.

Your place of business, on the other hand, needs to be situated in the heart of the city – where the action is.    In the bricks and mortar world, you set up business in an area where you can afford.    Therefore, if you only have a few hundred bucks, your enterprise would have to be set up in a back street area.

wallstreet.jpg

Given the right tools, imagination and knowledge, your virtual building could become an enterprise that stands proudly amongst the taller buildings, in the most highly sought after area of the greatest city ever built.

From humble beginnings – let us say -  “Old Bushmill”   set up a reading room in the early days of web 1.0.His building was adequate enough, without being over elaborate.
He enjoyed great success in the early days and his building moved up into the heart of the city.

Then these taller buildings started springing up, and along came a young upstart called “Jack Daniels”.
Jack had new ideas and created a video viewing and games room, incorporating regular news updates.
His building was modern – exciting to enter -  and once inside,  the visitors enjoyed and  came back again for more interaction with new found friendship.

Wheels within wheels!

Shift happens – inspired by Gert Sodin!

Most marketers will have heard of Gert Sodin – entrepreneur – author of 10 best selling comic books and creator of the highly popular website – mmm.quidpooh.cum. His seminars sell out fast at thousands of bucks a shot and videos have been made of his incredible speeches.

Gert Sodin actually inspired our team to create IVS (internal visual surround), with multilingual scrolling. As we watched – dumbfounded, one of his speech videos, beer in hand. We felt privileged to hear his wise words on marketing – the guy who invented sliced bread – there were many gasps when he told us that the guy never made a dime until Blunderloaf took over the patent and spread the word. lot’s of oooh’s and ahhh’s came out when he told us about how a pink elephant would stand out amongst a field of cows.

Then Gert Sodin made a statement that sent gloom around the smoke filled room. “Our culture, our country” he said, “Is made great because of the spread of ideas”. Jaws dropped as realization set in, that our hero was wearing blinkers. One of our fellow technologists broke the silence when he piped up – “Typical American way of thinking, they think the world ends at their shoreline”. True to say that if you live outside of the good ole U S of A, in a lot of cases, you cannot fill in an online application form because the state in which you live is not available. American prize contests are – quote :- ‘not available to persons outside the USA’.

A heavy discussion erupted, then gloom turned to joy when realization set in that we had discovered a missing link. Instead of being disheartened by the revelation that all English speaking marketers are wearing lingual blinkers (Not just Americans), we were inspired to take the Google route and include other languages in our videos!

Web 2.0 = U2 – Where The Streets Have No Name

From the Joshua Tree era.

Location :- Mount Temple School in north-east Dublin-Ireland (where I lived).

1976 – Paul Hewson, Dave Evans and his brother Dick, and Adam Clayton, formed a group -calling themselves Feedback. Their first original song, Street Mission, was not impressive but was the song a prelude to – Streets with no name?

In 1987, U2 released an album that changed their history. “The Joshua Tree”, evolved from their feelings of the heartbreaking suffering of Ethiopia, the strife of El Salvador and Guatemala, and the oxymoron’s of Reagan’s America.

The famous song – “Streets with no name” has further implications to what is happening in the world today. Watch the video – listen to the words – they encompass freedom and equality throughout the world.

Now flip over the coin – imagine a world in another dimension – that is the world wide web! A wonderful place where anyone with a connection can have their say and join a global community without restrictions.

Web 1.0 was the start of the journey to freedom of the mind. Web 2.0 is evolving with the technology to further expand into the realms of universal freedom – “Where the streets have no name”
