“The day the earth stood still” 1951 & 2008- Full screen- video editing

Our research into flash video manipulation, on the face of it may appear to be purely for entertainment purposes, however, when you consider a criteria was set from initial tests and the resulting proof has been achieved without the need for expensive softwares such as ‘photoshop’ or ‘after effects’, this may be actually a remarkable discovery.

A brief description of how this can be achieved is as follows.    Flash is recorded in layers, one layer overlays another, just as icons on your monitor desktop, when you open an application it appears on a layer above the icon.

In flash applications, one can call up a base layer, such as a video skin,  then float another layer, (the actual video footage), on top of the base layer.    Further layers of flash animations may be added for effect.

The latest development of our study has enabled us to stretch the video footage rather like shaping putty, and record as a separate file, then  load it  into the flash layers.

Initial trials, (as shown in the video below),  are not 100% as yet but improvement is expected as we hope to provide an alternative method of video presentation.

The task I was presented with was to to upload a raw wide screen video to our online flash workshop.   The video was selected from YouTube (see picture), then to create an entirely new presentation by adding a background skin with textural overlay titles.

The day the earth stood still 2008

The day the earth stood still 2008

The chosen video is a compilation of trailers on “The day the earth stood still” ~ 195, the original movie was set in full screen cinemascope ~ the 2008 version and is quite clearly in wide screen format as most new movie trailers are presented.    By careful expanding of the new trailer’s flash file, I was able to move the layer over the background skin and record the sequence using simple screen capture software, therefore creating a continuous viewing flow.

To my knowledge, after a wide internet search, there have been many experimental studies in flash manipulation but by utilizing intricate softwares.    This I believe is the first attempt to stretch video footage using simple online tools that anyone can master.

Further tests shall be carried out before revealing the sources of this simple method.

Below is the story line translated into Spanish – Espanola.

We Spartans descended from Hercules himself.

Taught never to retreat

Never to surrender.

To the death on the battlefield

Is the greatest glory

He can achieve in his life.

Spartans – the finest soldiers

The world has ever known.

It’s quiet now

They came through the blackness.

Be afraid – Sparta will burn to the ground.

A thousand nations of the Persian Empire

descend upon you.

I must have came good to free this world.

Instead ask yourself

What should a free man do?

You threaten my people with slavery and death.

This is madness

Madness – this is Sparta!

We will stand and fight.

A new age has begun.

An age – of freedom.

And all will know

That 300 Spartans

Give their last breath

To defend it.

Spartans – tonight we die in hell!

Give up nothing

But take from them.

Everything.

We’re in for one wild night!

What the hell.

Estamos espartanos descendientes de Hércules a sí mismo.
Enseñado nunca a retiro

VIDEO SKINS – CREATE EXCITING VIDEOS FREE! #2

Before revealing the technological advancements that have taken place since my own (crude) experiments way back in 2007, I should at least portray the developments I achieved.

The statement (way back in 2007) appears to be derogatory to state, since it spans a mere 12 months, but it shows how fast technology is evolving today.

The concept of creating what I referred to ‘internal visual surrounds’ within the structure of streaming videos, became an obsession. Millions of videos uploaded to hosting sites, all have one thing in common ~ they are presented in boring black squares!

Although being restricted in funding, as I was merely experimenting as an open source theory, I managed to make certain strides in my efforts.

Old cinema style surround.

Old cinema style surround.

My initial experiments were centered on creating an old style cinema surround, using curtains as a backdrop.

After taking j peg snapshots of the “Metro” cinema sides, and online news scroller software, I uploaded them to my online workshop (hidden page) on one of my websites.

Careful manipulation of the images, cropping to size ~ 320 wide x 240 pixels high, I was able to create the first internal visual surround and used it to create movie trailer surrounds. This was also reproduced in the color blue.

Choosing a what proved to be a popular movie trailer, I recorded the footage and placed it within the folds of the surrounds.

Realizing the multilingual needs of different languages, I translated the movie trailer synopsis in many languages incorporated within the news scroller.

This proved to be popular amongst viewers from countries other than English speaking, simply because they could now understand the storyline.

Admittedly the Indiana Jones experiment was not as popular as my recording of ‘Fools gold’ which attracted over 90.000 views, possibly because it was an unknown entity and was not a perfect job, but it was a beginning and proved worthwhile.

VIDEO SKINS – CREATE EXCITING VIDEOS FREE!

Future thought’s HAPTICS (INSIDE INFO SKIN).-Myvzine

http;//www.myvzine.com
Futuristic animation from future thought.
Machine controlling man.
Wrapped in new information skin.
An experimental demo by Myvzine publications.

This amusing animation by (Future thought) is a masterpiece on its own. All credits must go to this outstanding producer whom has created many fascinating animations.

On first viewing, I decided to spice the presentation up even further, by adding a futuristic skin to the surrounding elements of the original video.

Being a perfectionist, I need to increase the size of both the internal visuals and the surrounding skin, but there is enough of it to show the skinning effects.

I should also have cropped the corners to give it a polygon shape, rather than a square.

Video presentation in the form of adding new skins and re-recording, is a new art form that is emerging as an alternative to the accepted norm.

From this point onwards I shall be revealing my earlier (crude) experiments in attempting to create video surrounds that were more appealing to the eye.

Technology has greatly improved my efforts and now it has become so simple, anyone can create stunning visual presentations, valuable in promoting both personal and commercial videos.

Look out for further posts and articles and please make your contributory ideas through comments!

Google domination-rally in Germany-Myvzine publication.

Recently discovered, public domain footage, of the original Google awards ceremony, held in Nuremberg, west Germany, has revealed the truth behind the driving force of Google.

The original concept behind the Google search engine, was to provide an efficient service, without the annoying presence of advertisements on the home page, as other search engines were displaying.

Once popularity was gained, to the extent of becoming the number one search engine, they introduced ‘adwords’, a system which encouraged online marketers to bid for competitive key words, to appear as sponsored links, on the right hand side of their search pages.

This method has made absolute millions for the Google corporation, and continues to grow.

Next up, they introduced ‘adsence’, a method of placing sponsored adverts onto webmasters web pages, enticing surfers to click the links and pay for the products offered by merchants.

The webmasters receive an undisclosed percentage of revenue, paid up by the sponsors, but quite obviously, the lions share goes into the Google coffers.

The 1.65 billion take over of youtube, is peanuts to the corporation, as they have the foresight to realize that online video will increasingly become the main source of advertising revenue.

Radio and television will inevitably die out, to be replaced by online video and movie hosting, so the acquisition of youtube, being the numero uno hosting site, is an excellent deal.

Although, being aware of their methods, one must admire the drive behind the Googleplex machine, and praise them for re-investing into mapping and multilingual systems, which are to the benefit of everyone….especially Google, whom, when the time is right, shall levee a charge on the services.

PS – the translation of the video above was greatly due to ‘Google translate’.

Breaking news – coke submarine busted off Mexico.

Dateline July 19 2008.
US intelligence aided the Mexican government to track down a small submarine carrying 5.8 tonnes of cocaine. This is proof that the drug cartels will stop at nothing to import charly into the states. The above video tells the official story of the lengths that the barons will go to in order to spread their deadly cargo.

Unofficially it has been revealed that the cartel came up with the idea whilst watching an old Beatles classic film based on LSD – it was called – The yellow submarine!
Reports of over 4000 killed in the recent coke wars may result in crisis for cola shares.

Sales in Budweiser are expected to increase.

Ronaldo leaves Man united shock reaction. (Warning bad language).

After all the British newspaper speculation of Ronaldo leaving Manchester united, we can now reveal that the American (septic tank) owners have strong German connections.

The above video is actual footage taken by a spy using the latest  Nokia  mobile  phone  with 5.0  mega pixels.      The scene was taken in the bored  room at Old Trafford and edited  with expert  translation  by google.

Please excuse the bad language in the translation.   We believe this to be a true version of the event.

Many lives were at risk from the  Man U hoards, in smuggling the film out of Manchester.

Video marketing – taboo humor part 2.

Imagine this – you discover an unusual product and contact the manufacturer to join their affiliate program.   Then you find an amusing video on the subject and embed it onto your site, permission granted from the video owner, of course (copyright).

It could be a complete website, centering around the product, or a single page which spices up your other content.    Write articles and blogs about the amazing product, all linking to your site.     Search engines love articles, blogs and videos – people love humor – it is a winning formula and a powerful addition to your armory.

Video marketing- taboo humor part 1.

Every day life and the difference between man and woman, is a subject that is often talked about, yet rarely written about. Videos on the subject are even rarer – note – we are not talking of pornography here.

In relation to video marketing and web site construction, it is becoming more essential to embed videos as an attraction for your visitor. If the videos are humorous without being too far over the top, and changed regularly, your visitor may bookmark your site and return.

The video I have chosen to accompany this article is an excellent production, however it does include a few naughty words, so is therefore not suited for family viewing. It also leads up to a video selected for part two of this article.

Here is a quick joke on the subject (posted on Samantha Burn’s blog).

A man in a bar starts trying to impress a lovely young thing, who quickly tires of his advances. “Look,” she says, “I’ll bet you $100 you can’t pee higher up the alley wall than I can. If I win, you pay up and leave the bar. If you win, I’ll pay you, and then blow you right there in the alley.”

Thinking he has a sure win, he agrees, downs the rest of his beer for the extra pressure, then follows the girl and the rest of the bar’s patrons into the alley. The girl demurely drops her panties, then does a handstand, spreads her legs, and shoots a stream of steaming liquid ten feet up the wall. The crowd applauds. The man, realizing he has a tougher challenge than he thought, slowly drops his trousers then pulls his pitiful thing out of this boxers.

The girl, wagging a finger, seals his doom with the gentle statement, “Hey, buddy, no hands!”

How to edit a video-part 6- (timing).

Revisiting the online video editing site (Jumpcut), prompted me to re-edit and re-vamp some old footage using an internal visual surround method.

I rearranged the footage on Jumcut’s timeline and added a techno sound mix, adjusting the audio to match the visuals by sliding, until it was near perfect. When satisfied, I captured the play with Camtasia in a small pixel area (rectangle).

The first capture was rendered as ’space1′. I then loaded 22 stock photos of space pics, resized to fit the display area of ‘Flash slideshow maker’ and created the slideshow as a moving background. With the slideshow activated in the background, I played the video ’space1′ in ‘Winamp’ media player, classic version, as the top layer.

Back on Camtasia, I set the capture size and timed both the layers to activate and made the recording. Having to pause the winamp player twice to coincide with the slideshow, meant that the resulting capture required further editing on the Camtasia timeline.

Being on a personal timer, I quickly spliced out the unwanted footage and as a result, the completed video was produced in under the hour. More time would have created a near 100% production, but as this was only a demo, it was sufficient.
